Sambar Masala Recipe In Hindi

सांबर मसाला (Sambar Masala) कभी दक्षिण भारत का विशेष मसाला रहा होगा लेकिन अपने महक और स्वाद के कारण अब तो यह सारी दुनियां में लोकप्रिय हो चुका है.

Without Sambar, one cannot think about South Indian Food. Even though using the freshly made sambar powder in small quantities daily will enhance the flavor, it is a time consuming task. So only on special occasions or on holidays, we can try for sambar made with fresh powder.

Step 1 Soak lentils in water to soften. When done soaking, strain. Boil lentils with turmeric and salt in water until cooked through. Step 2 Prepare tamarind water by heating water with tamarind. Dissolve it and strain. Keep tamarind water for later. Step 3 Prepare vegetables. Cut off ends and/or skin.

Ingredients. 1/2 cup coriander seeds. 1/4 cup cumin seeds. 1/4 cup chana daal (large split yellow lentils) 1/4 cup urad daal (black gram) 1/4 cup fenugreek seeds. 1/4 cup black peppercorns. 1/4 cup dry red chilli flakes. 1/4 cup grated dessicated coconut.

How To Make Chettinad-Style Sambar Masala | Chettinad-Style Sambar Masala Recipe. To make the sambar masala, you would need half a cup of chana dal, toor dal, urad dal, rice, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds and turmeric cubes, then take one-fourth cup of fennel seeds, peppercorns, castor oil and two cups of dried red chilli, round dry chilli and coriander seeds.
